| A new beat: Our climate change music video on MTV reaches 14 million youngsters |

That music has a huge influence on young people across the world, is an established fact. British Council in India tied up with MTV to multiply the impact of its Climate Change and Low Carbon Futures project by launching an innovative music video. MTV VJs have a cult following and the video ends with Cyrus Sahukar, MTV's face in India, encouraging young people to take that first step. Take a look at the video or read the story. |

| International Climate Champions meet Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit |

International Climate Champions from Delhi got a chance to meet and interact with the Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit on World Environment Day when she came to inaugurate a 600 feet long mural on the wall of the British High Commission. The mural, depicting the dangers of climate change, is a call for global action to save the world ahead of the crucial climate summit in Copenhagen in December 2009. Find out more. |

| Climate Champions – Young Minds working towards an Eco-friendly Future |
| 40 Young Climate Champions from India and Sri Lanka participated in a skills development workshop organised by British Council and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). These champions were selected to be part of British Council's International Climate Champions (ICC) programme which is one of the flagship projects under the Low Carbon Futures agenda. | Special Preview of the films produced under the UK Environment Film Fellowship 2009 |

A special preview of Four Films on Climate Change was held on World Environment Day, 5 June at the British Council, New Delhi in association with Discovery Channel. High Commissioner, Sir Richard Stagg congratulated the filmmakers and in his keynote address spoke about the need for the developed word to take responsibility of the climate crisis and respond by cutting emissions.
